Welcome to Brighten Your Life: A Decoupage Exhibition, a unique exhibition that explores the art of decoupage through the lens of utilitarian objects. In this exhibition, we showcase the beauty and artistry that can be achieved through the layering of paper, fabric, and other materials on everyday objects such as furniture, household items, and personal accessories.

Decoupage is an art form that involves layering materials onto a surface and then varnishing or sealing them in place. The technique originated in 17th-century Europe and has been used throughout history to embellish objects with images, patterns, and textures. In this exhibition, we highlight how the use of decoupage elevates these objects to a new level of artistry and beauty.

We invite you to join our Free Demonstration and Workshop on Saturday, April 15th, 2023. You can experience the magic of decoupage art on utilitarian objects. Discover how a simple wooden chair can be transformed into a work of art with intricate layers of paper and paint, or how a plain tray can become a stunning centerpiece with the addition of fabric and floral motifs. Create your own design on the coaster or package with decoupage art techniques. No prior experience is necessary for this workshop, and all materials will be provided.

Join us on this journey of discovery and appreciation of the art of decoupage. We hope you leave with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and potential of everyday objects when combined with the layering techniques of this incredible art form.

Exhibition Date: Apr 15th, 18th, 20th & 22nd
